Terms and Conditions of Trading

Guarantee

All of our products come with our guarantee that they will reach you in perfect condition. On delivery our driver will ask you to inspect the goods, and to sign for them. Breakages and short deliveries should be notified to us immediately. We regret we are unable to send replacement stock unless the damaged items have been first returned to us in the original packaging. Please note that we make every effort to measure and describe our furniture as accurately as possible. Due to the hand made nature of our furniture, there will be variations in size, colour and design from one piece to another. Minor imperfections may also be present, but all of this adds to the character of the furniture. It is intended that as this is reproduction antique furniture that it has a slightly aged, though not distressed look and feel. If there is anything that you are ordering that is size, colour or design critical please contact us before ordering as we can't be responsible for this once the item has been delivered.

Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998).


We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service.

We will not e-mail you in the future unless you have given us your consent.

We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from us or from another trader in the future.

The type of information we will collect about you includes:

* your name
* address
* phone number
* email address
* credit/debit card details


We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent.

The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.

The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law.

If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first.

We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This can include using a "cookie" which would be stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings.

Cancellation Policy

We reserve the right to charge 20% of the purchase price of items that are reserved for a future delivery date, and then subsequently cancelled.


Returns Policy

If you are not completely satisfied with the condition of your purchase please let us know. We want all our customers to be completely delighted with their purchase. Our reputation relies on it. Please note that you must notify us as soon as possible of any problems that you have found with our products, and no later than 7 days from delivery. We will arrange to have the faulty item collected and replaced. We reserve the right to repair furniture in the customers home or accept return for repair and/or replacement. Retain the packaging until you have inspected the item, as we can't accept returns without the furniture being repacked, our carrier will not collect anything without this. Where a replacement is not available, we will offer a refund.

Under the distance selling regulations, you are entitled to change your mind about a piece of furniture and ask us to collect it within 7 days. The piece of furniture must be unused and be completely rewrapped in the original packaging. Without this the carrier will not collect from you. Returns of this nature will be subject to carriage being charged both for delivery and for collection at the prevailing rate. Where the returns are part of a carriage paid order the carriage both out to you and the return costs to us will be applied. The amount refunded to you will reflect this. We regret we are unable to offer a sale or return facility. Bespoke or special order items are non returnable.


Tax Charges

For orders made from the UK, VAT is included. Customers within the EU will not be charged VAT on condition that their VAT number is supplied prior to despatch to their designated shipper. If the customer does not have a VAT number and resides within the EU then VAT will be charged. Orders received from all other locations are VAT free, and this will be deducted from the transaction at time of payment/despatch.


Delivery

All orders are shipped either by ourselves or dedicated furniture carrier. We will contact you if for any reason there is a delay in shipping your purchase, to ask you if you would like to cancel the order or wait for the estimated time which we will give you. We are happy to despatch goods for shipping overseas to your designated shipper.

Delivery times: For most areas in the UK, please allow 15 working days for delivery, from date of receipt of payment. Please allow a further 3-5 days for Scotland, Devon and Cornwall. We aim to deliver well inside these timescales which are intended as a guide only.

Failed Collection/Delivery

A failed collection / delivery is defined as being the inability of either ourselves or our carrier to collect / deliver items to / from the customer for any reason including; unavailability, refusal by a party to release the items, refusal to assist with a driver only consignment or any other reason, within the time / date agreed between the Repro Furniture Company / our carriers and the customer.

In the event of failed collection / delivery the customer may be charged a rearrangement fee of £40 or half the delivery fee, whichever is the higher.

Should the collection of any items be delayed due to unexpected dismantlement, repacking being undertaken by the customer or any other reason then a pro rata delaying fee of £45 per hour may be incurred.


Shipping & Handling

All our prices exclude shipping and handling. All orders (less than £1000) are sent at a fixed delivery cost for the first item plus a nominal amount per item thereafter. Orders over £1000 are sent carriage free (British mainland only). Our standard rates apply on the British mainland, and exclude the Scottish Islands, Northern and Southern Ireland addresses.

For the Scottish Islands and Southern Ireland, please note that when ordering for delivery to these destinations the website doesn't calculate the carriage. We will contact you to advise you on this once you have placed your order and confirm that it is acceptable to you prior to depatch.

We regret that our carriers are able to deliver to the door only, and are not insured for moving furniture in and around your home. This type of service enables us to deliver furniture to you at economic rates.


Our delivery charges

England and Wales £50 for the first item and £15 for subsequent items - free on orders over £1000

Scotland £60 for the first item, and £15 for subsequent items - free on orders over £1000

Scottish Islands - please ask for a quote

Northern Ireland £125 for the first item, and £15 for subsequent items

Southern Ireland - please ask for a quote.


Collecting in Person

You are welcome to collect your goods from us in person, by prior arrangement. We regret we are unable to accept collections undertaken by third party carriers.


Making a purchase

Just browse through our web site, click on the order link or note down the items you wish to order. After you have finished your selection either confirm it on our secure server or phone, fax or e-mail your order. We accept Visa, Delta, Maestro, Mastercard, Switch and cheque/postal orders. Please do not send cash through the post, and do not send your credit/debit card details by e-mail. If paying by cheque we will need an additional 4 working days for it to clear before forwarding the goods to the carrier. We don't under any circumstances accept cheque as payment on collection.

We regret we are unable to hold or store furniture for a pending future delivery date. We can accept orders where delivery is scheduled after a specific date, as long as this is no more than four weeks from date of order.

Please ensure you advise us of awkward access such as narrow roads, narrow or steep stair cases to flats and small lifts. It is your responsibility to ensure all this information is available to us prior to us attempting delivery. Where difficult access to a premises has not been advised, goods may be left at the point nearest to the address or returned to the depot pending redelivery. A surcharge will be applied in this instance (see failed deliveries above).

Retention of Title
